Our standalone units, or their sections, are entirely assembled in the workshop, including both interior and exterior finishes, while the large bay windows are installed onsite.
The dimensions of a unit obviously have to be taken into account, as it must be transportable by truck to the building site.
Our units can be interconnected or stacked, providing the possibility of creating dwellings of all sizes, whether it be a complete structure or a standalone module.
We at my phi unit focus primarily on individual units or a combination of adjacent units. However, we are also happy to consider projects involving ‘stackable’ units.
Prefabrication typically involves assembling factory-made components, like walls and stairs, floor sections,… directly on the building site, while modular house building is a question of assembling the entire structure in a workshop before transporting it as a complete unit to the final destination. Essentially, a modular unit can be thought of as a small prefabricated house.
The advantage of modular building is that construction can continue uninterrupted, regardless of weather conditions. Once planning permission is granted, production begins immediately in the workshop.
You’re always welcome to visit our facility and see the progress firsthand. Furthermore, modular units are highly portable, allowing you to essentially move your home to a new location.
